Act of Kindness I

The pandemic has been going on for more than a year now. I imagine many of us are fatigued.

Tired of limits, tired of the stress and anxiety, tired of the crazy change in habits we had to adopt asap, tired of loved ones being sick or dying.

How many of us are tired of wearing masks?

Act of Kindness I came about by my observation of the politicizing of mask wearing. From the early pandemic days of misinformation spread by certain politicians to the recent lifting of mask mandates in Texas for no good reason.

I think of mask wearing as an act of kindness. The easiest thing everyone can do when they're out and about to protect others (besides oneself). The easiest way to show others you care about society. They can be a way to bond (compare styles, complain together about their discomfort).

A pandemic is one of the few events that affects everyone within a society. Pandemics are a type of natural disaster. Which are always the time for society to come together and help each other. To show we care. To show we're all in it together.

Vaccinations are rolling out and picking up steam. There is light at the end of the long tunnel that is this pandemic. I don't think we have to wear these too much longer.

When we can finally take them off and put them away for good, there will be an Act of Kindness II created.

Until then, please stay safe and healthy.
